ABOUT
Kellie brings a diverse career background to the table, having developed a broad range of skills and experiences. Growing up with parents who were successful real estate professionals, Kellie was introduced to the industry early on. During high school, she gained hands-on experience working at her father’s commercial real estate development firm, laying a strong foundation for her future in real estate.
While attending college in Lincoln, NE, Kellie made her first real estate investment by purchasing a rental property. This experience not only deepened her knowledge but also fueled her passion for real estate. Later, she bought a condo in Denver’s Washington Park district, a home in Sloan’s Lake, and her primary residence in Greenwood Village, CO.
Kellie’s career path then led her to a role as a sales representative for Allstate Insurance, where she generated over $420,000 in sales annually and quickly rose through the ranks. She later returned to real estate as a property manager at Southwestern Property Corp., where she managed rental properties, forged relationships with vendors and tenants, and contributed to the company’s accounting department.
While working at Southwestern, Kellie pursued her academic goals, earning undergraduate degrees in Business and Psychology and completing a Master’s in Psychology from Regis University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kellie applied her clinical psychology training to work with patients in a hospital setting, though the intensity of the role eventually led her to pivot back to real estate.
In 2021, Kellie assumed the role of Director of Operations at Southwestern Property Corp., where her focus on efficiency and strong relationship-building has driven significant operational improvements. She spearheaded the successful turnaround of a distressed property in Topeka, KS, turning it into a revenue-generating asset. Kellie also played an integral role in the Aspen Hills project, a multi-building multifamily development that achieved a 73% IRR upon its sale, along with multiple self-storage projects.
During a challenging time for commercial real estate, Kellie’s ability to close several key loans became a hallmark of her expertise. Additionally, she has designed and managed fifteen fix-and-flip properties, advancing into a project developer role where she oversees developments with creativity, organization, and strong communication skills. Her multifaceted approach continues to enhance Southwestern Property Corp.’s success. In 2024, she became Chief Operating Officer and a partner of SWPC.
As a leader at Southwestern, Kellie’s self-awareness and solution-focused approach continue to shape the company’s success, particularly in the multifamily and self-storage sectors. She is currently working to become an expert in HUD projects and aims to become a certified HUD sponsor. In the fall of 2024, Kellie began pursuing her MBA to further her expertise in finance and accounting.
With her extensive experience, education, and adaptable nature, Kellie is a driven and dynamic professional who consistently focuses on achieving success for her team and the company.
